Counterfeit This: In a time when videos were starting to become standardized with similar tricks, editing styles, and swapping big name riders on the box cover, the Hyperlite team decided to step back from the traditional approach of media saturation. Hanging somewhat low from seasonal videos, they wanted a DVD that would live up to its confident title. They decided to make a movie that makes a difference - the right way, the long way - the hard way. Thru 3 cadaver surgeries, several round trip tickets to the hospital and many sleepless nights chasing the elusive "missing hammer", the team finished a movie that sums up why they got into wakeboarding and wakeskating. Each in their own way, with distinct personalities, felt the pressure and motivation, as tricks from their friends/teammates were being captured on a daily basis. This movie wasn't Hyperlite's idea.  It was a vision by riders and ultimately their challenge to exceed their goals. From October of 2003 until September of 2005, they all have been riding for spirit, camaraderie, and the challenge of a 'Team Movie.'  Hyperlite proudly presents the work of 11 riders and 23 months.
